The annual Community Week took place for the eighth time this year. Around 500 employees of Johnson & Johnson contributed to around 40 charitable activities, projects, and organizations in nine locations across Switzerland during their working hours for one week.
For the sake of humanity, nature, and our environment, our employees volunteered with a range of regional projects by NGOs and other charitable organizations. They helped improve embankment areas, contributed to WWF projects, and lent a helping hand or two to farms and boarding kennels.
Our staff also made their expert knowledge available to others in the context of virtual projects, which were set up due to the pandemic. In one of them, they helped migrants write their résumés, showed them how to write a good cover letter, and prepared them for future job interviews.
Helping local communities, organizations, and projects during this week of volunteering is an expression of our corporate philosophy: acting with the heart to encourage the mind. This is what we believe in and an integral part of our identity.
We do not just talk about doing good, we set an example – especially when times are hard. The Community Week is a way for us to network with colleagues from other teams and departments while putting our philosophy into practice.
