How to motivate people with disabilities to follow a healthy lifestyle? Johnson & Johnson, Stiftung zuwebe, altra schaffhausen and Special Olympics Switzerland have jointly developed a program that aims to integrate healthy eating and simple exercises into the everyday lives of people with disabilities.
Health is an essential factor for our wellbeing. However, living healthily can actually be quite simple. This is what the participating organizations want to show with the «Einfach Gesund» («Simply healthy») program. Through simple exercises, activities and nutrition tips, people with disabilities are able to take small and important steps to improve their health. The program shows how a healthy lifestyle can easily be integrated into everyday life.
The diverse topics were implemented as tips, posters and video messages. To ensure that the messages are accessible, clients of the two institutions participated in the project and checked all content to ensure easy and understandable language.
The social program «Einfach Gesund» is launched as a pilot project in four institutions starting at the end of June.
The concept could already be tested live at the Special Olympics National Summer Games in St. Gallen at the Johnson & Johnson booth.
